The results are in ... I hate geography

Today I got the results back from two of my tests. I was happy with my Topics in International Business test results, but my Geography of the World Economy test didn't go over quite as well. I hate first tests in classes because I never know how much to study for them. Don't worry, I passed both tests, but the Geography one was one of the lowest scores I have ever gotten. Atleast now I know what to expect for the next test. Now its time to get ready for my Economics of Canada test and the emergency communication drill tonight.

Taxes

Its that time of year again. Taxes. It may surprise anyone who knows me, but I actually did my taxes before the deadline. Actually, I usually do. Unlike all the other tasks that I have to do, I do my taxes as soon as I can. This year I am getting a little return, but I have already started looking for new toys that I can play with. Well mostly used toys on e-bay, but they would be new to me. Now, I need to figure out if I need to fill out a FAFSA. Hopefully I will be graduated at the end of the school year, but with the way the economy is doing, I may want to jump back into school ASAP. Too bad MBA programs want me to go out and work for at least 2 years before applying. Time to get back to school work.

Teddy Bear Cove

Teddy Bear Cove

Summer has come to the pacific northwest. It has actually been great weather here for a while now. This means I can finally go outside and not have to bring tons of rain gear. I haven't managed to go many places in Whatcom County yet, but one of the nice places I have been to is Teddy Bear Cove.

Teddy Bear Cove 1

On Saturday a group of us got together to have a fun time. A group stayed behind to cook up some cobblers and other great dutch oven foods. To pass time the rest of us decided to go for a little walk. Someone suggested Teddy Bear Cove and off we were. It is a nice little hike (a little steep at times) down to the the cove. There were already a bunch of people there (and why wouldn't there be on a nice sunny Saturday?), but there was enough space for a few more to hang out. A couple of guys had guitars and were singing. A couple of others had a dog they were playing catch with. Others were playing in the water, and all were having a great time.

After having a little bit of fun in the sun, we headed back to meet up with the guys who decided to cook. One of these days I will have to go back when it is dark there. Everyone tells me that the water is full of phosphorescence that can be seen later in the summer at night.
